City Clerk's Office

The City Clerk’s Office has the responsibility for many functions which
preserve and provide public access to the City's official and historical
records for an effective and efficient local government.

This Department handles the following:

  •     •    Administrative support for the Mayor and Council
  •     •    Finance, Accounting and Budgets
  •     •    Human Resources for City employees
  •     •    Health & Safety Coordination
  •     •    Workers' Compensation claims
  •     •    Overseas Taxes and Licenses
  •     •    IT support and Website content
  •     •    Facilitates in Municipal Elections
  •     •    Official records of the City & public requests for records

Bonnie Warne, City Clerk
Warne was appointed the City of Dawsonville City Clerk in August 2010. Warne was hired by the City in February 2005 in the planning department to handle permits and licensing.  
She completed the Clerk Certification from the Carl Vinson Institute at UGA and is currently working on her Municipal Clerk Certification with the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.

Sara Beacham, Accounts Payable
Beacham was hired by the City of Dawsonville in November 2008.
She assists in the accounting and records area for Dawsonville, as well as event coordinator.
