Sidewalk additions on Howser Mill Road - a little over 1,000 feet of sidewalk were added connecting a church and additional residences on Howser Mill Road.

Sidewalk additions on Perimeter Road - construction of 1,450’ feet of sidewalk has begun which will connect the sidewalk just past Robinson Elementary with sidewalk passing in front of Dawson County High School to GA Hwy 53 East.

Additional Sidewalk Plans – Engineering and planning is underway to develop cost estimates in the hope of addition additional sidewalk at several locations, including, new sidewalk from Shoal Creek down Burt Road connecting to the Red Hawk subdivision; new sidewalk from Shoal Creek via Perimeter Road connecting to the Rain Hill subdivision; and new sidewalk from GA Hwy 9 South/Perimeter Road intersection connecting to Burt’s Crossing subdivision.

Replacement of old waterline (circa 1953 line) – throughout city limits finishing along Maple and Academy Streets finishing in late 2016. This project was started in bits and pieces in 2004. We are proud to have these replacement lines in place.

Planning and survey work continues on the Main Street Park Project.
