August 2020 Employee of the Month

The City of Dawsonville is fortunate to have many outstanding employees. Our August 2020 Employee of the Month is Clay Moss. Clay works for the Public Works Department and he is certification as a Playground Inspector by the CPSI, a coveted certification that makes the City’s playgrounds safer.  Clay and his teammates are charged with maintaining over 12 miles of roadway, which includes keeping the roads safely open, clean and in good shape, even during the challenging winter months that bring snow and ice or the recent severe weather. They maintain over 10 miles of sidewalk, take care of the cemeteries, Wallace Park, the new Main Street Park and the Farmers  Market. It is their job to maintain all grass, keep trash picked up, stormwater facilities operating and in good shape city-wide. They also take care of the City Hall building complex that includes the GA Racing Hall of Fame and the Distillery, as well as City Hall. This crew works with HOA’s to install speed bumps, directional signs and other tasks. Clay has just started his third year of service to Dawsonville and its citizens.
