May 2023 Employee Spotlight - Jameson Kinley

We would like to introduce Jameson Kinley as the City of Dawsonville's new Planning & Zoning Director. Jameson was born in North Carolina and grew up in Cumming, graduating from Forsyth Central High School. He received his BS degree in Geographic Information Science with a concentration in Urban Planning from Kennesaw State University. Over seven years ago, after a successful career in GIS work, he found his place in local government, having served as the Planning Director for Dawson County and most recently, the City of Dahlonega. He believes in leadership through serving, and his main passion is being the father to his three children. Jameson lives in Dawson County, and is looking forward to being a part of Dawsonville's growing and prospering community. Stop in and meet our newest team member.
